Askr
A warm, native reading theme
Askr is the reading page: measure, type, citations, and callouts. It is a local askr-html extension for complete, long-form reading. It leaves Quarto’s navigation, TOC, callout collapse, highlighting, math, and execution features intact while supplying a restrained typographic and panel system. Quiet Quartz remains the name of this visual theme. How this site arranges Areas, the Page List, and the Section List is recorded on the Layout page.
This candidate puts a clear information hierarchy and long-form reading first. Content and data stay with the project that uses the extension.
Reading rhythm
The body face is Source Sans 3, code uses IBM Plex Mono, and CJK text follows the local system fallback sequence. A thin teal link and a lavender quote rule are deliberately quieter than the document itself.
Askr is presentation only. A consumer continues to own site structure, notebook execution, mathematics, viewer integrations, access control, and data.

This section is deliberately concise and narrow-screen friendly. Review it at mobile width to check the header, icon, nested panel, keyboard focus, and local horizontal overflow boundaries. Its stable fragment is #mobile-callout-inspection-target.

This important notice remains lavender inside a teal tip. Its sentence is intentionally long enough to demonstrate natural wrapping without a page-wide overflow boundary on a compact reading screen.

Keep the page quiet
A design system for documents should make dense evidence easier to read without asking every author to become a frontend specialist. The useful unit is not a hero banner but a paragraph, a source cell, a careful note, and the space between them.
